Finn and Noelle paint the town?

For several months, Finn and Noelle had been looking forward to the annual Black Tail Ball at the exclusive Cat Scratch Club in Manhattan. Although 100 cats would be in attendance, only 15 dogs had received invitations. Noelle surmised that she and Finn had been included because of their unusually positive attitude towards cats. They even lived with a tiger cat named Fred, and the three of them got along famously. However, just before the cab arrived to take them to the party, two unfortunate things took place:   Fred, who had not been invited (Noelle thought that was probably because he’d recently been altered…) was so insanely jealous of his housemates he’d dissed them for four days in a row, and now that the time of departure was imminent he pranced around the house and yowled. In the midst of all this, Finn and Noelle had a big argument. Noelle was wearing her fine new green velvet dress with fake fox fur, and the pearls Aunt Pepper gave her at her last birthday dinner. When she came downstairs and found Finn in her old jean jacket with missing buttons she loudly expressed her shock and disapproval. When the taxi arrived, Finn was still adamantly refusing to change. On the sly, Fred snatched the invitation from Noelle’s pocket book, slipped out of the house, into the back seat of the cab, and gave the cabbie the address to the Cat Scratch Club in Greenwich Village. His only concern, at that point, was the fact he was naked.
