Cassandra

Cassandra knew her name came from a person who could see into the future after her ears were licked by snakes. She was also aware that a curse had been placed on Cassandra so that nobody believed her when she told them about things that were going to happen. Cassandra the fox surmised she had been given her name because as a young kit she always knew – in the morning – what the family would have for dinner that night, but her siblings and parents refused to believe her. This was strange, because it literally came true every day.

When Cassandra grew old, she suddenly realized she must have been especially gifted in the brain department. Growing up, she’d lived with her family in a den right next to a turkey farm. Her predictions were hardly rocket science!
