Montague & Polly
Montague realized his diatribe on the inconsistencies of goat mythology was failing to impress Polly. He madly raced through his memory for interesting stories that might relate to badgers, but all he could come up with was the badger in Wind in the Willows. He knew, innately , that this reference would not cut the mustard with this babe.
And now, adding to his growing discomfort, she’d ordered Mountain Goat Flambe. Besides being the most expensive dish on the menu, her order was clearly sending him a message that he’d prefer to ignore at this moment.
